Allergy bedding and an air purifier may
help control allergy & asthma
|
|
HEPA
air purifier: More than just a HEPA filter,
it is the world's most effective HEPA air purifying system. Cleans the whole room
not just the air around the unit. Ozone free. Never needs a prefilter. Very Important! - #1 |

Dust
mite proof pillows: Start fresh with new pillows. Mite proof pillow with the look and feel of fine
cotton linens. Breathable for comfort. |
|
Comforter
covers: Comforters should be encased in a dust
mite proof comforter cover. This may be skipped if you are willing to wash the
comforter every 2 weeks in hot water, but that's a lot of work. |
|
HEPA
vacuum cleaners: All our vacuums have sealed HEPA filters, so 100% of the air passes throught the
HEPA. All use bags to avoid recontamination. |
|
Humidity
gauges: Keep humidity between 35% and 50%, since
dust mites do not thrive at humidity below 50%. Try to correct humidity with heat,
a/c or repairing any water leaks. If still too high, get a dehumidifier. Gauge is important. |
|
Vent
and other filters: Reduce the relatively large
dust particles coming out of the vents. To be used as a supplement to the HEPA
air purifier. |
|
Blankets
and sheets: High quality Vellux
blankets, that hold up to the frequent hot water washings recommended by allergists.
Also 100% natural cotton sheets for the highly allergic. |
|
Mattress
Pad: With Rely antibicrobial,
effective against dust mites. NOTE: The mattress covers above give more protection
against the dust mite allergen. |
